Job Title:Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA)
Location:Alpharetta GA
Position Overview: Navitas Healthcare LLC isseeking an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team in Alpharetta GA. In this role you will enhance the efficiency and quality of care by performing advanced clinical duties under the supervision of dentists. You will contribute directly to the patient experience through technical expertise compassionate care and a strong commitment to patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities:
Place and finish dental restorations (fillings) after dentist preparation
Take accurate impressions for temporary crowns bridges and diagnostic models
Fabricate and place temporary crowns and bridges
Perform coronal polishing and fluoride treatments
Apply sealants and desensitizing agents as directed
Assist the dentist during restorative prosthodontic and endodontic treatments
Take and process radiographs
Maintain infection control and sterilization standards
Provide clear post-treatment instructions to patients
Accurately chart treatment notes and assist with updating patient records
Monitor inventory and prepare procedure trays
Support the front office team with patient flow and case coordination when needed
Qualifications:
12 years of Dental Assisting experience required
Strong knowledge of restorative procedures and materials
Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
EFDA experience
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certifications:
EFDA certification (required for state)
X-ray certification
CPR certification
