Correctional Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position
Location: Milan NM
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12s Nights
Pay: $1891/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Correctional Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate and professional nursing care within a correctional facility. The RN will be responsible for assessing planning and delivering care to incarcerated individuals while maintaining safety security and compliance with healthcare standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates sound judgment resilience and a strong commitment to patient advocacy in a secure and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care in accordance with facility protocols state regulations and professional standards.
Assess monitor and document patient health conditions treatments and responses.
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
Respond to medical emergencies triage patients and provide crisis intervention as needed.
Collaborate with physicians mental health providers and other healthcare professionals.
Educate patients on health management chronic disease and preventive care.
Uphold infection control safety and security procedures within the correctional setting.
Qualifications:
Active RN license in NM
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification COVID vaccine TB test
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience - correctional
