Southeastern Virginia Training Center is seeking a Residential Supervisor/QIDP to serve as a Support Coordinator/QIDP and member of the Personal Support Team responsible for coordinating person-centered plans supervising direct care staff and ensuring the effective operation of a residential home for 510 individuals. The role combines leadership staff oversight scheduling compliance and administrative duties to support quality care and facility standards.

About the Role

  • Coordinate person-centered plans active treatment and activities for 510 individuals.
  • Supervise direct care staff across three shifts including scheduling training evaluations and performance oversight.
  • Manage staffing coverage through advanced scheduling and adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor and manage staff overtime punctuality and leave usage.
  • Provide direct supervision to staff within the home including training timekeeping and evaluations.
  • Ensure administrative upkeep and maintenance of the home.
  • Serve as Team Lead in interdisciplinary meetings and represent residents needs.
  • Monitor residents status across all disciplines providing input and feedback.
  • Communicate effectively using person-centered approaches in both verbal and written formats.
  • Demonstrate leadership in interdisciplinary interactions.
  • Maintain compliance with CMS/ICFMR regulations facility policies and procedures.

Skills and experience required:

We seek a candidate with a demonstrated ability to work with a diverse clientele to include individuals with Intellectual/Developmental/Behavioral Disabilities. We also seek the following:

  • Knowledge of characteristics behaviors and common medical conditions of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid licensure standards.
  • Skills in the development of systematic packages of programmatic and medical supports to address the needs of individuals with a disability.
  • Ability to facilitate a team of various professionals and paraprofessionals and help them provide functional and focused support for individual benefit.
  • Knowledge of Person-Centered Planning Process and Person-Centered Thinking for supporting individuals.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced-level computer skills including thorough knowledge of MS Office suite of products.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse clientele to include individuals with Intellectual/Developmental/Behavioral Disabilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work independently carrying out instructions and directives.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with sensitive and highly confidential matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to organize and maintain workflow in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to prepare reports utilizing MS Office products and databases.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work accurately with details.
  • Experience with monitoring support delivery for people with disabilities required.
  • A valid drivers license is required

Bonus points if you have:

  • A bachelors degree in one of the behavioral social science or human service fields such as Special Education Recreation Therapy Psychology Nursing or Social Work.
  • Must meet the requirements of a Qualified Intellectually Disabled Professional (QIDP).
  • Two or more years experience working with people who are intellectually disabled and who may have additional developmental and behavioral disabilities.
