Description

  • Opportunity to work at Partnerships for Local Action and Community Empowerment (PLACE) a national not-for-profit organisation that supports the adoption and impact of place-based approaches across Australia.
  • Join at an exciting time as the PLACE team builds its foundational team during its establishment phase in preparation for its first steps of growth as a new organisation.
  • $90000 - $110000 (FTE) per annum excluding superannuation.
  • Full time (1.0) fixed-term position
  • Brisbane (Meanjin) - with hybrid conditions
  • The successful candidate will undertake domestic travel regularly as part of this role.

The Collaborative Solutions Coordinator will support the delivery of PLACEs Collaborative Solutions activity during an exciting phase of growth.

This outward facing role will be instrumental in supporting the engagement and convening of a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to work together identify shared challenges and co-design strategic place-based solutions.

By enabling effective partnerships and ensuring the smooth delivery of convening processes the Collaborative Solutions Coordinator will help create the conditions for long-term community-led change and contribute directly to PLACEs vision.



Requirements

Who you are (selection criteria)

  • You hold relevant tertiary qualifications in community services policy health engagement or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • You have exceptional relationship development and management skills and are comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders from community members to organisations and government officials.
  • You are highly organised and a strong administrator with sound project management skills.
  • You are comfortable in a start-up environment; you manage multiple competing priorities with a proactive and adaptable approach.
  • You demonstrate a commitment to PLACEs vision values and principles particularly around community leadership and shared decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure positive relationships with PLACEs diverse network of stakeholders including community members community organisations place-based initiatives and government officials.
  • Provide end-to-end support for meetings workshops and other convening activities with internal and external stakeholders including scheduling and secretariat support.
  • Contribute to and coordinate the development and timely distribution of written materials including meeting papers progress and implementation reports and other correspondence.
  • Provide support to the monitoring of collaborative activities to ensure they are delivered on time and within scope.
