Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Summary/Objective of Position:
Under the general supervision of the General Services Manager the incumbent will help maintain the flow of business at Tsaile Post Office by providing outstanding customer service to students employees and the general public.

- Provide customer service to students employees and the general public.
- Assist customers and prepare parcel items for fees and shipping costs.
- Sort and receive all incoming U.S. Postal mail.
- Prepare daily cash count and deposit daily report at the end of each business day with all transactions to U.S. Postal Service.
- Must acknowledge and abide by the United States Postal Regulation.
- Sort all internal mail to the proper departmental mailbox.
- Stamp and weigh outgoing mail and parcels using the postage meter unit.
- Record all incoming C.O.D.s Certified Restricted Express and UPS Delivery confirmations.
- Cancel all forwarded mail using the Zip Code bundle for outgoing mail daily.
- Maintain and update all public notices of all mail class changes changes of rate in stamps weight etc.
- Orders supplies stamps money orders postcards and envelopes to maintain the Post Office.
- Prepare requisitions for office supplies needed for the Post Office.
- Other duties may be assigned and will revolve around the operation and care of the Post Office to provide the best quality customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
Minimum:
- High School diploma or equivalent general education is required.
- General clerical office experience with knowledge and skills to perform the duties of the position.
Knowledge:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Knowledge of institutional policies procedures and federal regulations.
- Understands and acknowledges to abide by the United States Postal Regulations.
Skills:
- Demonstrate skills in customer service collaboration planning prioritizing and organization.
Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- Ability to operate equipment related to the position.
- Oral fluency in Navajo is desirable but not mandatory.
Physical Requirements Work Environment & Travel:
- Normal office environment.
- Stand for a period of time with helping customers at the window.
- Must be able to lift at a minimum 50 lbs.
Other Requirement(s):
- Must have a valid state drivers license.
