Weve been on a three-year journey to modernize our U.S. distribution network and transform how we distribute our products. The Woolwich Distribution site is one of two new U.S. distribution hubs opened within the last year to enhance and streamline our delivery operations. Were aiming to elevate the customer experience and generate cost savings with state-of-the-art technology and standardized processes. But none of it can happen without you the people who power our operations and ensure that our customers receive our life-saving therapies when they need them.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in a distribution environment.
  • Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to meet standards and improve production efficiencies maintain product quality and maintain a safe workplace.
  • Integrates equipment and product capabilities to meet process module target specifications and technology target specifications.
  • Pulls and analyzes data while helping articulate value back to the operations team.
  • Leads the innovation development and optimization of new distribution concepts to continually be able to service the customer both domestic and international.
  • Participate in Zero Loss events Value Stream Mappings Kaizens or any other lean workshop when applicable.
  • Help develop distribution processes related to site KPIs while helping to drive those metrics.
  • Ensure local processes and procedures follow the Medtronic Performance System.
  • Support day-to-day operation when necessary.
  • Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
  • May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.
  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control cost reduction inventory control and production record systems.
  • On the basis of these studies develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
  • May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.

Required Knowledge and Experience:
Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in automated distribution centers strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Process improvement and design
  • Lean principles
  • Experience analyzing data (PowerBi)
  • Warehouse management systems
  • Labor management systems

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$80800.00 - $121200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification/education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
