Title: Process Engineer II (B Shift) - 2 Openings
Duration: 3 Months with possibility of extention
Location: On-site at Hemlock MI (Solar Plant) 100% onsite
Only W2 candidates are eligible for this position. Third-party or C2C candidates will not be considered.
Nonlocal candidates who are willing to relocate at their own expense will be considered but please remember this is a temporary assignment.
Work Schedule:
B Shift 4:00 PM 12:00 AM typical 40 hours per week. May require working weekends/holidays or longer days to support project schedule.
Description:
Scope of Position:
A mechanical electrical chemical and industrial engineer responsible for providing hands-on support identifying and implementing solutions to equipment issues during start-up and commissioning in the Solar wafer manufacturing plant
Team member collaborating with a diverse team (mechanical electrical controls facilities IT operations etc.) in a solar wafer manufacturing setting
Main focus is on equipment installation and startup of multiple lines in rapid succession
May be required to work off shifts
Requirements:
Effective technical leadership organization and planning skills with the ability to handle changing priorities.
Creative/innovative problem solving.
Experience in successfully completing projects in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent Analytical Skills - Decision-making based on data.
Must be a self-starter able to work in a team environment and motivate others.
Strong data analysis interpretation visualization and problem-solving skills
Excellent communications interpersonal and influencing skills.
Ability to collaborate and work with diverse teams (skills gender culture race etc.)
Capable of multitasking
Demonstrated technical expertise in equipment installation debugging startup and troubleshooting
Candidates should have an engineering mindset capable of observing processes capturing data and recommending improvements-not just performing technician-level tasks.
Should be problem solvers with shop floor experience capable of working independently in a fast-paced non-cleanroom wet process environment.
Engineers are needed in the final clean area which involves cleaning silicon wafers and bricks using conveyor-based washing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist and support the team in the execution of equipment start-up to include setting up equipment collecting data and making modifications based on needs
Providing feedback and suggestions to improve equipment and product quality
Supports problem-solving in manufacturing including root cause identification and resolution.
Applies knowledge of engineering principles and methods to resolve challenges.
Demonstrates personal use of engineering tools and methodologies to understand and address root causes of production issues.
Supports the development of standard work documentation to include SOPs SOS Job Aids and Training Documentation.
Ensures safe work practices.
Mandarin speaking is a plus
Requirements:
Education: BS in mechanical electrical chemical or industrial engineering strongly preferred but candidates with Associate degrees and significant experience (10 years) will be considered.
Minimum Experience: 2 years required 5 years preferred
Preferred Backgrounds: Experience in wet systems cleaning processes or semiconductor environments is highly valued; however automotive manufacturing experience is also acceptable.
Software Skills: No specific software is required; Excel proficiency and basic math skills are sufficient.
Interview process:
