This unit located in the 8 North Tower has 18 private rooms and is a Telemetry capable Medical-Surgical unit. Our unit consists of general surgical and overflow medical with multi-system involvement and patients requiring non-acute cardiac telemetry monitoring. We serve Adolescents (16 years old) adults and geriatric patients.
Role:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant you will assist in delivering nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN).
Your job duties will include providing personal care with hygiene and physical comfort including feeding bathing shaving changing clothes bed making ambulation lifting turning moving transferring skin care and bowel and bladder elimination. Youll provide the care that is required to meet the personal primary needs and comfort of your patients based upon your scope of practice skills and abilities.
Job requirements:
Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program (or military medical specialty training).
Six months related work experience preferred.
Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant by the Washington State.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
