Escalator engineer, gearbox repairs

Were currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Escalator team at the Keighley factory. Were seeking someone with strong mechanical engineering skills excellent attention to detail and a solid commitment to safety and quality standards.

This job is a site based with no travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in escalator gearbox refurbishments
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on gearboxes including disassembly inspection reconditioning and reassembly
• Perform routine greasing and lubrication of gearbox components to ensure optimal performance and longevity
• Work with technical documentation schematics and manufacturer specifications
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and KONE procedures
• Maintain accurate records of work performed parts used and time spent
• Collaborate with other engineers and site teams to ensure minimal downtime and efficient service delivery

Requirements:

• Apprentice trained Mechanical engineer or NVQ3 Mechanical Qualification
• Strong knowledge of gearbox mechanics lubrication systems and drive components
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices
• Good written and spoken English
• NVQ3 in Escalators is a plus but not mandatory
