Job Description

Were currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Escalator team at the Keighley factory. Were seeking someone with strong mechanical engineering skills excellent attention to detail and a solid commitment to safety and quality standards.
This job is a site based with no travel required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in escalator gearbox refurbishments
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on gearboxes including disassembly inspection reconditioning and reassembly
- Perform routine greasing and lubrication of gearbox components to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Work with technical documentation schematics and manufacturer specifications
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and KONE procedures
- Maintain accurate records of work performed parts used and time spent
- Collaborate with other engineers and site teams to ensure minimal downtime and efficient service delivery
Requirements:
- Apprentice trained Mechanical engineer or NVQ3 Mechanical Qualification
- Strong knowledge of gearbox mechanics lubrication systems and drive components
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices
- Good written and spoken English
- NVQ3 in Escalators is a plus but not mandatory
