Legal Administrative Assistant Mergers & Acquisitions
Our client a large international firm with a high-volume corporate practice is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join their busy Mergers & Acquisitions group. This is not your typical legal assistant role you ll be actively involved in the legal work and cleints files requiring initiative curiosity and a strong interest in business law.
You ll begin by supporting a Managing Partner with transactions file management billing and client service. Over time this position will evolve into a shared support role offering exposure to a broader range of corporate and M&A group.
This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented proactive professional who thrives in a collaborative fast-paced environment and enjoys contributing beyond traditional legal support.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Support & Transactions
- Draft legal documents and correspondence using precedents
- Provide administrative support for business transactions including closings
- Handle routine corporate transactions (with paralegal guidance)
- Conduct registry and due diligence searches
- Format proof and revise legal documents
Client Billing & File Management
- Assist with client intake and follow up on outstanding deliverables
- Manage a high volume of billing including preparing reviewing and finalizing invoices
- Schedule meetings coordinate logistics and manage day-to-day team needs
Team Coordination & Strategy
- Track workflows and ensure service commitments are met
- Help implement process improvements and technology solutions
- Contribute to business development initiatives such as webinars and client events
Location: Vancouver BC (Hybrid 3 days per week in office; must be available in-office as needed)
Compensation: $63000 $75000 comprehensive benefits
About You
- Graduate of a recognized Legal Administrative Assistant program
- Minimum 3 years experience in corporate/commercial law
- Exposure to mergers acquisitions or reorganizations considered a strong asset
- Highly organized solution-focused and detail-driven
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Tech-savvy adaptable and eager to streamline processes
- Collaborative proactive and client-focused
