Job Description
We are looking for an ambitious enthusiastic and hands-on Product Lead Global Digital Identity to ensure ING will have a global capability of supporting Digital Identities and Wallets. Upon formalization of the Global Customer Data domain the Product Lead Global Digital Identity will report directly into the Global Head of Customer the interim the role will report into the Global Chief Data Officer as sponsor of the eIDAS program.

As such we need to ensure our data is complete accurate and traceable and protected i.e. safe and exclusive. The global data organization acts as a first line gatekeeper to secure adequate data chains collaborating with all functions business lines and countries within the Bank. Chief Data Office (CDO) is therefore a pivotal organizational unit actively collaborating with all functions business lines and countries within the Bank.
Job description
This role is pivotal in implementing the neweIDAS regulation ensuring ING builds aglobal componentthat supportsDigital Identities and Walletsacross all retail countries and Wholesale Banking. As Product Lead you will drive the end-to-end strategic design development and rollout of a unified digital identity infrastructure enabling frictionless customer journeys regulatory compliance and secure data flows. You will collaborate across functions business lines and geographies to ensure alignment and adoption. You work not only on delivery but also on creating a vision on how we improve our services from a global customer data perspective how we manage the business value and how we increase collaboration across functions. You do that by steering the squads who build the global identity solution by providing them with a strategic direction coaching them on the job defining the product roadmap and by managing stakeholders. The people who work in the squads report to you which means it is your job to empower them to thrive and perform at their best. You set direction you help them to develop their craftsmanship and you have continuous conversations about their career development. As a Product Lead you report hierarchically to the Global Head of Customer Domain in CDO.
We expect you to
- Lead the end-to-end implementation and transformation of INGs global digital identity solution in line witheIDAS 2.0requirements
- Translate regulatory and business needs into scalable product features and architecture
- Build and manage a cross-functional team to deliver the global component used by all countries and Wholesale Banking
- Ensure interoperability with national identity schemes and INGs internal systems
- Collaborate with Legal Compliance IT and Risk to ensure secure and compliant data handling
- Pro-actively anticipate on changes in the regulatory landscape to be able to adjust the roadmap swiftly if required
- Act as the primary interface with external regulators and internal stakeholders on digital identity topics
- Monitor market trends and technological developments in digital identity and wallets.
- Attract excellent staff to rapidly mature INGs Digital Identity practice and motivate teams across functions regions and business lines
- Fully trusted and matured counterpart for senior management including MBB and Regulators as well as tackling impediments and position solutions to senior management
- You adhere to the ING values and it is evident for you that your behavior is fully aligned with these values
Your competencies
- Drive and manage change programs in an international context and master financial content of medium complexity
- Lead and deliver (multi-year) change programs of medium complexity on program level covering multiple countries / functional departments

Your work environment
Data sits everywhere in the Bank hence the CDO organization is crucial for ING to succeed. Knowledge of the Banks products latest regulations/legislations technology solutions and excellent stakeholder management skills are required to be able to adequately act anticipate comment advice on and respond to ongoing and upcoming changes.
Required skills and experience
- Education at University with a Master degree in a related study (e.g. Business Administration Information Management)
- Proven track record in leading complex multidisciplinary change initiatives in Banking preferably with international exposure
- Deep understanding of digital identity frameworks eIDAS regulation and data protection standards
- Experience in product development agile delivery and regulatory implementation
- Up-to-date understanding of IT processes and systems within the bank
- Competent knowledge of Banking/Data is a plus
- A personality and the capabilities to function effectively and independently
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in a global matrix organization
- Excellent level of English
