Job Summary
Summary
Performs medical tests in a laboratory environment for use in the treatment and diagnosis of diseases in animals. Prepares vaccines and serums for the prevention of diseases. Prepares tissue samples takes blood samples and executes laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood counts. Clean and sterilize instruments and materials and maintain equipment and machines. May assist a veterinarian during surgery.

Essential Functions
-Positions patients and accurately selects anatomic and technical factors.
-Perform basic animal restraint and provide basic animal husbandry
-Take vitals (temperature weight height blood pressure)
-Process patient specimens (blood urine breath)
-Prepare appropriate medical supplies for patient appointments
-Maintains animal records by documenting animal conditions reactions and changes; updating the database.
-Induce monitor and recover anesthesia in patients assigned ASA II & III classification.
