Our operations help everything to come together at Amazon. As the Site Leader in a fast-paced and challenging environment youll be the person leading the site from an operation point of view. Youll own the operational metrics and set the strategy for your site to deliver for our customers and ultimately grow our operations. Youll also develop a large team and coach and mentor team leaders.
Key job responsibilities
- Monitor operational metrics and business performance
- Contribute to planning the operational budget considering everything from financial and labor planning
- Protect high standards of operational Health and Safety
- Strategic planning for the next three six and twelve months with a particular focus on peak-season planning
- Be accountable for operational leadership by measuring performance offering feedback and providing development support
A day in the life
Youll be based in Senlis an IXD site in France.
Youll split your time across a number of operational needs. Spending lots of time on site will help you develop your team and collaborate on operational planning. This role has two sides. Youll manage and motivate a team of leaders. At the same time youll focus on long-term objectives. This includes creating contingency plans to keep operations running and mitigate against disruptions and driving initiatives that boost quality safety and productivity. Youll be a source of accountability and a business-wide champion of best practice.
- Degree and relevant experience in manufacturing production distribution logistics environments retail or grocery in a management role
- Relevant experience of working within a complex stakeholder structure
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and upper intermediate proficiency in the local language

- A bachelors advanced or masters degree in engineering supply chain logistics or manufacturing
- Experience in managing third-party relationships
- Experience of applying Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies
