Job Description

Finance Manager

The F&I Manager (Finance Manager) plays a crucial role in structuring car deals for clients with average to above credit. These deals must comply with finance lender guidelines and the auto dealership policy ultimately leading to quick funding and a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Ensure compliance with all dealership policies procedures and ethical standards.
  • Assist the Sales Manager in vehicle purchases identifying and leveraging opportunities to offer:
  • Promptly address any missing stipulations or required documents communicated by lenders.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and finance-related laws.
  • Collaborate effectively with all dealership departments to support efficient deal flow.
  • Train and update sales staff on regulatory changes compliance requirements and dealership finance processes.
  • Accurately structure deals in line with lender guidelines and dealership policies.
  • Ensure all vehicle equipment is accurately represented when booking out dealsno misrepresentation.
  • Conduct credit interviews prepare and submit accurate credit applications.
  • Verify and validate all critical information in credit applications before submission to lenders.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all customer financial and personal information.
  • Clearly disclose all financial terms and product details to customers.
  • Sell finance-related products including credit insurance and extended service contracts ethically and transparently.
  • Maintain and routinely update a comprehensive lender guide for all current finance programs.
  • Evaluate new lender programs and make informed recommendations to management.
  • Diligently review and follow up on all deals with lenders to ensure timely funding.
  • Manage and update the inventory log; provide strategic recommendations to management based on trends.
  • Maintain and review logs for call-ins contracts in transit and funding packages.
  • Train administrative staff on how to assemble and process funding packages correctly.
  • Assist in designing and placing advertising for special finance promotions.
  • Analyze credit reports to determine deal type (conventional vs. special finance); escalate accordingly.
  • Prepare profit sheets and properly cost all special finance deals.
  • Ensure all customer deposits are receipted promptly and accurately.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish required)
  • Must be flexible with schedule including evenings weekends and holidays as needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and appearance; must adhere to the company dress code
  • Valid Drivers License with clean driving record
  • Certificate in JM&A Group Consulting Solutions (or willingness to obtain within specified time frame)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook) and general computer systems
  • Excellent leadership problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Strong ability to analyze credit reports and structure finance deals accordingly
