Downer is an industry leader in water providing water services to a quarter of New Zealanders. We support our customers across the full asset lifecycle from the conceptual development of a project through design construction commissioning and whole-of-life support and optimisation.

This position is responsible for maintaining and operating the water network in the greater Taupo district. We currently have a fixed term vacancy for an experienced Water Serviceperson to join our busy team that maintains the network assets.

Youll be working as part of a dedicated utilities maintenance team delivering the most efficient and quality-driven service possible to our clients. Your key duties will include routine and planned maintenance of the Taupo District Council water network. You will work within a committed team to collectively ensure our clients long-term goals are reached.

Nga pūkenga matua Important Skills

• A nationally recognised qualification in Water Reticulation or similar industry
• Drivers license: Class 1 minimum and Class 2 WTR would be an advantage
• Confined spaces and hazard awareness training again preferred but not necessary
• Fostering a Strong Commitment to Health and Safety
• Computer skills being able to operate and input data into a mobile field device
