Position:R&D Manager (Chemical)
Location: Bangkoks Surrounding Cities
Language: Good English communication skills native Thai speaker
Salary: Up to 140000 THB/month
About the Role & Must Haves Experience
This role will report to 2 non-Thai upper Managers/managements.
If youre deeply experienced in chemical background (with Chemical related degree) and knowledgeable in coating regulations and well-versed in working with Epoxy and PU chemistries e.g. pigment dispersions this role could be for you.
Management/ leadership experience is crucial as well.
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the paint/coatings industry especially in formulation or application using alkyds polyurethanes (PU) epoxies and emerging finishing technologies.
- Strong theoretical foundation in coating science including knowledge of film formation cure chemistry (oxidative cross-linking 2component systems) substrate interaction adhesion durability and environmental/weathering behavior.
- Experience scaling formulations from lab to pilot/production including raw material evaluation process optimization and performance testing.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams mentor staff manage R&D projects from concept through commercialization and align technical direction with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the R&D teams making sure things fit with companys goals; Overseeing things from concept to commercialization
- Convey clear communications in relation to the priorities and objectives for R&D teams/ projects
- Strategy Development and Implementation: of R&D goals strategies and roadmaps while collaborating with senior leaders
- Trends: Keep up to date with industries and competitors trends and developments including technology to see potential for innovations
- Continuous Improvement Culture: The team knows theyre encouraged to be creative innovative
- Cross-collaboration: Between R&D Operations Marketing and relevant teams/ departments
- Making sure all the testing validation and QA are in line with the desired outcomes
