DescriptionJob Summary:
Ready to jumpstart your career in the environmental industry As a paid engineer geologist or environmental scientist intern you will gain hands-on experience in the investigation and cleanup of environmentally impacted sites environmental compliance and regulatory permitting. Youll work alongside industry experts gaining insight into the technical and regulatory aspects of environmental consulting while building skills that set you apart in your career.
This is a part-time non-benefited internship position with flexible hours to accommodate your academic schedule. Were looking for motivated students currently pursuing degrees in engineering geology environmental science or related fields.
What Youll Do:
- Office Support:
- Manage and evaluate field and laboratory data.
- Perform quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews.
- Participate in technical training sessions.
- Prepare deliverables for permitting packages and site investigation monitoring and remediation reports.
- Field Experience (as opportunities arise):
- Assist with groundwater and soil sampling events.
- Support subcontractor oversight and remedial system operations and maintenance.
- Shadow compliance inspections and assessments.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in engineering geology environmental science or related field.
- Strong organizational analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and problem solve with guidance from supervisors.
- Interest in pursuing a career in the environmental consulting industry.
