Job Summary

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist
Location: Gastonia NC 28054
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Hours per Week: 3640 (varies with schedule)

Shift Schedule:

Days 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
Schedule options: Fri/Sat/Sun OR Sat/Sun/Mon
On-call: 45 times during weekdays (MonFri 7:00 AM 5:00 PM) across the 12-week contract
Weekends: Required 2 days over the 12-week contract
Holiday: Required to work one holiday or reduced operation shift (12 hours AM or PM)

Pay Range:

Local: $1000 $1276.50 weekly
Travel: $1200 $1460 weekly

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Certified Surgical Technologistfor an exciting Travel or Local job in Gastonia NC.

Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all instruments/equipment are sterilized and ready.
Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures.
Manage instruments sutures and surgical materials per NBSTSA standards.
Maintain a sterile field and enforce infection control protocols.
Track surgical counts instrument usage and patient safety documentation.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient outcomes.
Support preoperative and postoperative patient care as directed.
Adhere to hospital policies safety standards and regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications

Certification: NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (required)
Education: Completion of a formal Surgical Technologist program (required)
Experience: Prior experience in large/acute care hospitals required; vascular and neuro surgery preferred; robotics experience preferred
Skills: Strong knowledge of sterile techniques surgical instrumentation teamwork attention to detail and patient safety awareness
