For our dynamic and expanding team in Copenhagen we are seeking an experienced and strategic Accounts Payable Manager. You will lead our Accounts Payable function driving efficiency accuracy and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Head of Finance you will be instrumental in shaping our financial operations managing a dedicated team and ensuring the integrity of our payable processes.
The Finance Department is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting compliance and control systems within the organization. We are committed to developing efficient financial processes that support decision-making and contribute to business growth. By providing timely reports maintaining relationships with vendors and ensuring compliance with accounting standards we enable better financial planning and resource allocation for the organization.
As the Accounts Payable Manager you will lead and manage the entire accounts payable process from strategic oversight to final execution. You will be responsible for developing the AP team optimizing workflows and ensuring all financial transactions are handled with precision and control. This leadership position offers a significant opportunity to influence financial operations collaborate with senior stakeholders and drive process excellence across the business.
- Lead mentor and develop the Accounts Payable team fostering a culture of high performance accuracy and professional growth.
- Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable cycle ensuring all vendor invoices are processed approved and paid in a timely and accurate manner.
- Drive the continuous improvement of AP processes and systems identifying opportunities for automation and increased efficiency particularly within Medius and AX 2012.
- Develop and enforce robust AP policies procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and mitigate risk.
- Manage key vendor relationships and act as the primary point of escalation for complex payment and billing discrepancies.
- Oversee month-end closing activities for the AP ledger ensuring accurate reconciliations and reporting.
- Analyze accounts payable data to generate insightful reports for senior management providing key metrics on performance aging and cash flow impact.
- A degree in accounting finance or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Manager or a senior AP specialist with demonstrated leadership and team management responsibilities.
- Deep expertise in accounting systems and ERPs. Direct experience with Medius and AX 2012 is a significant advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel with the ability to analyze data and create meaningful reports.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing a team to its full potential.
- A strategic and process-oriented mindset with a track record of successfully implementing process improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently interact with senior management internal departments and external partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities capable of navigating complex challenges and making sound data-driven decisions.
