The Auditory Neuroscience Lab (PI: Dr. Lars Rogenmoser) is seeking two motivated undergraduate or graduate students to join our team as Research Assistants (RAs) for a project on hearing health in musicians.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:
Recruiting and scheduling participants (primarily musicians)
Performing hearing and physiological testing (audiometry ABR OAEs EEG)
Administering questionnaires on hearing health and musical background
Data entry management and preliminary analysis
Commitment & Hours:
Approximately 20 hours per week for 16 weeks (one semester)
Testing about 510 participants per week
Schedule is flexible and total hours are negotiable but all work must be completed by April 2026.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
Enrolled JMU undergraduate or graduate student (CSD Audiology Psychology Biology Neuroscience or related fields)
Interest in neuroscience audiology hearing health or music cognition
Strong organizational and communication skills
Reliability professionalism and attention to detail
Prior lab or research experience is a plus but not required training will be provided

Students must be degree-seeking students enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
