Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients in an urgent care setting
- Diagnose and treat acute medical conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Provide patient education and counseling on treatment plans
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Stay current with best practices in urgent care medicine
Requirements
- Active NP or PA license in the state of practice
- Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine preferred
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle high-stress situations effectively
- Knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed
Flexible Schedule: Weekdays (8a-8p) or weekends (8a-5p)
Patient Census: 30-36 on weekdays 22-27 on weekends
Support Staff: MA and RN
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
