Function Description

As a Technical Manager in the Customer Programs team you will be responsible for addressing the in-service quality and cost drivers for General aviation Business aviation Regionals and Helicopter programs. You will have the opportunity to participate and lead integrated product teams (IPT) and influence the mitigation and corrective action on a part / engine which could affect the safety reliability maintainability & availability of a product or the cost of operation of P&WC engines. You will also be expected to act as a coach and mentor to the customer program technical team and act as a customer program expert with your peers.

What You Will Do:

  • Single point of contact across all the programs to enhance the methods of product performance reviews by incorporating industrys best practices.
  • Challenge the status quo and redefine the KPIs at program level. Support in redefining the Control Towers to align with Programs roadmap both at India and Global levels.
  • Work with respective program focal points to drive necessary/applicable Customer Service Operating Procedures (CSOP) amendments along with adherence to regulatory compliance & Quality standards.
  • Identify the opportunities for product performance packages/ analysis reports through standardization Self-serve methods and automation.
  • Work with change management team and stakeholders (Chief Engineering office and global programs team) to drive strategic and transformation initiatives within programs accessory investigations and EIS.
  • Be a customer programs expert for analyzing fleet issues operators concerns and collaborate to address systemic issues across engine market segments effectively
  • Be a customer program expert for the front-line team & provide program knowledge to prepare for conferences and customers dedicated technical reviews
  • Develop people through technical training and coaching to enhance product knowledge
  • Ownership of fleet Performance - including safety reliability maintainability and availability of the engines in service
  • Work closely with reliability CoP leads process owners BPM team and product performance specialists to drive day-to-day deliverables.

Qualifications Must Have:

  • Any Bachelors/ Masters degree (preferably Aeronautical or Mechanical engineering) with 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in the aviation industry preferably in aftermarket support for aero engines.
  • Project management skills to drive standardization automation and process alignment across the programs/ markets.
  • Experience user of the Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint) with good analytical capabilities
  • Knowledge of Lean tools and concepts (Six sigma certified Business Process Management skills will be preferred).
  • Proven track record of proactiveness and taking accountability for his/her own work and supporting others
  • Ability to communicate with senior management and to challenge peers and seniors when required.
  • Ability to lead large and/or complex technical work packages and deliver successfully and to quality. Demonstrated focus on driving quality compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Proven track record of making good decisions based on limited information and working with ambiguity. Ability to define and implement plans that achieve business intent without being given detailed instructions
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize work effectively
  • Good team building and team management skills and ability to lead without authority and influence multiple stakeholders to achieve desired result.
  • Knowledge on data visualization tools like Power BI/ Tableau and Python scripting will be an added advantage.
