As the Payroll Manager you will oversee all facets of our international payroll operations. pivotal position leads the outsourced payroll function for Australia and New Zealand while also being directly responsible for payroll operations across Asia including guiding countries through the transition to our new global payroll outsource partner Ramco. You will be responsible for ensuring employees across multiple jurisdictions compensated accurately and on time while maintaining strict compliance with local national and international regulations.

What will you do

We know the work we do is vital in assisting Aurecons business globally. Here are the key things you will do to bring ideas to life.

  • Oversee and approve monthly fortnightly and ad-hoc pay runs ensuring all payrolls are processed accurately and on schedule.
  • Own monthly payroll reporting journal preparation and payroll balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Lead the Melbourne-based payroll compliance team and the Aurecon Payroll team in Manila who deliver payroll operations across Aurecon ensuring effective delivery SLA adherence and strong ongoing relationships with the global payroll managed service provider.
  • Drive strategic and change management initiatives to continually improve and enhance payroll processes.
  • Ensure the incumbent Australia & New Zealand payroll managed service provider meets all SLAs and contractual/compliance obligations.
  • Champion the implementation and roll-out of future global managed payroll services serving as the ultimate owner of these services.
  • Translate organization goals into clear comprehensive and achievable directives for the team. Support direct reports in the implementation of new directives
  • Cascade knowledge and develop team capabilities to strengthen understanding of business needs and service excellence
  • Lead motivate and develop a team to ensure that training and development needs are met and succession plans are in place
  • Work with the Finance Shared Services Manager in ensuring that services meet or exceed expectations and are delivered in accordance with agreed KPIs and SLAs

Firstly strong sense of responsibility flexibility and adaptability to varying request. Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills. And as part of a new team you will have the opportunity to shape this role and have input into how we evolve it over time to WOW our employees and make an even bigger impact on the world.

You will also need the following:

  • 5 years extensive experience as a Payroll Manager ideally within large complex organizations operating across multiple geographies.
  • Familiarity with Workday ADP Global View and/or Ramco Payce Global Payroll is highly regarded.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to manage and adapt to change.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a strong track record of coaching and mentoring teams across both local and regional operations.
