Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic VP of Portfolio Management to join our Lending Team of Wholesale Banking.

As a key member of the Portfolio Management team your responsibility is to actively manage the lending portfolio of Spain & Portugal and optimize returns through strong analytics and capital velocity. You will join a multi-sector and multi-product team (Real Estate Finance Energy Infra Telecommunications Acquisition Finance) although the role will be mainly focused on project finance transactions in the Energy & Infrastructure sectors. You will collaborate with a wide range of teams -Transaction Management Capital Markets & Advisory Risk Global Credit Restructuring Legal and more- whilst aligning with back office / support teams. At the same time the Portfolio Management team plays a key role in further optimizing our processes for regulatory readiness operational effectiveness and portfolio optimization.

Your key responsibilities:

• The Portfolio Management team will be the center of excellence for the in-life management of INGs WB lending exposure. It covers all activities post the initial funding to the final repayment of a lending transaction. As a front office department it will closely collaborate with Origination & Structuring colleagues and product specialists to ensure a seamless client experience. The Portfolio Management function will be organised along product and sector considerations. Each portfolio manager will cover a set of portfolio clients and act as the first point of contact for the ongoing credit monitoring analytics internal risk and other reporting. Portfolio Management supports the identification of cross-buy opportunities and is also closely involved in the delivery of INGs capital velocity targets. The team will be supported by Global Lending Support in Dublin and the ING hub in the Philippines. It will be a key driver of improving processes standardisation and digitalisation across Lending.
• The specific responsibilities of a VP include actively managing all facets of the individual files booked in your dedicated portfolio including but not limited to:
  • Quarterly and annual credit reviews;
  • Process amendment and waiver requests coordination of the credit approval process (write or review credit modifications perform financial analysis cash flow- based modelling and sensitivity analysis perform sustainable transaction assessment submit to risk and address Q&A) follow-up on the required legal amendments to the documentation until execution;
  • Review annual risk rating updates prepared by an administrative support team anticipate potential risk migration;
  • Diligent and proactive credit monitoring through the review of all financial covenants and operating performance (e.g. financial models proforma adjustments key drivers etc.) and track compliance of covenants prepared by an administrative support team;
  • Assessment of the deal on product related topics (including initial Leveraged Transaction assessment);
  • Identification and resolution of Early Warning Signals Unlikely to Pay assessment Forbearance assessment Default for a deterioration in credit quality.
• In addition a VP will monitor and identify market developments and proactively manage their potential impact on your portfolio by
  • Preparing and maintaining reports as requested by regulators or internal stakeholders;
  • Preparing quarterly Credit Risk Management (CRM) portfolio reviews;
  • Maintaining various department and industry databases/ trackers;
  • Maintaining internal portfolio tracking metrics;
  • Responding to ad hoc internal requests on portfolio composition and exposure;
  • Coordinating and working with offshore portfolio support teams;
  • Managing lending limits and Capital Velocity programs.
• A VP will take active part in the various Virtual Client Teams by
  • Interfacing with relationship managers and sector specialists to ensure an active dialogue on credit trends challenges and opportunities for individual clients;
  • Contributing to idea generation for value added cross-buy or client opportunities.
• A VP is expected to build a culture of operational excellence by
  • Staying up to date on organizational operating policies and procedures (i.e. Risk Legal etc.) to ensure appropriate protocols are implemented and followed and facilitating accordingly;
  • Contributing to the implementation of strategic initiatives including enhancements to the credit monitoring process to improve business efficiency;
  • Identifying productivity trends across the Front Office organization and using insights from reporting to create and drive efficient processes and improve productivity;
  • Supporting the implementation of transformation projects;
  • Coaching more junior colleagues in their personal and professional development;
  • Contributing to improve data quality monitoring and reporting.

Qualifications / Education:

• University degree major in business economics engineering or other relevant business discipline with above-average academic grades. CFA and/ or MBA are a plus.

Experience / Knowledge:

• 5 years of relevant experience in structuring Project Finance deals preferably in the Energy sector in an international environment.

Estamos buscando una persona con talento y entusiasmo para ocupar el puesto de VP de Portfolio Management dentro del equipo de Lending de Wholesale Banking.

Como miembro clave del equipo de Portfolio Management tu responsabilidad ser gestionar activamente la cartera de prstamos de Espaa y Portugal optimizando los retornos mediante un slido anlisis y capital velocity. Te incorporars a un equipo multisectorial y multiproducto (Real Estate Finance Energy Infra Telecommunications Acquisition Finance) aunque el rol estar principalmente enfocado en transacciones de project finance en los sectores de Energa e Infraestructura. Colaborars con una amplia variedad de equipos Transaction Management Capital Markets & Advisory Risk Global Credit Restructuring Legal y ms alinendote tambin con los equipos de back office / soporte. Al mismo tiempo el equipo de Portfolio Management desempea un papel clave en la optimizacin de nuestros procesos para estar preparados ante requisitos regulatorios mejorar la eficiencia operativa y optimizar la cartera.

Tus principales responsabilidades:

El equipo de Portfolio Management ser el centro de excelencia para la gestin activa de la exposicin crediticia de ING WB. Cubre todas las actividades desde la financiacin inicial hasta el reembolso final de una transaccin de prstamo. Como departamento de front office colaborar estrechamente con colegas de Origination & Structuring y especialistas de producto para garantizar una experiencia fluida para la clientela. La funcin de Portfolio Management se organizar segn criterios de producto y sector. Cada portfolio manager cubrir un conjunto de clientes de cartera y actuar como primer punto de contacto para el seguimiento crediticio continuo anlisis reporting interno de riesgos y otros informes. Portfolio Management apoya la identificacin de oportunidades de cross-buy y est estrechamente implicado en la consecucin de los objetivos de capital velocity de ING. El equipo contar con el soporte de Global Lending Support en Dubln y el hub de ING en Filipinas. Ser un motor clave para la mejora de procesos estandarizacin y digitalizacin en Lending.

Las responsabilidades especficas de una persona en el rol de VP incluyen la gestin activa de todos los aspectos de los expedientes individuales asignados a su cartera incluyendo pero no limitado a: o Revisiones crediticias trimestrales y anuales; o Procesamiento de solicitudes de modificacin y exencin coordinacin del proceso de aprobacin crediticia (redaccin o revisin de modificaciones crediticias anlisis financiero modelizacin basada en cash flow y anlisis de sensibilidad evaluacin de sostenibilidad de la transaccin presentacin a riesgos y resolucin de Q&A) seguimiento de las modificaciones legales necesarias en la documentacin hasta su ejecucin; o Revisin de actualizaciones anuales de rating de riesgo preparadas por el equipo de soporte administrativo anticipacin de posibles migraciones de riesgo; o Seguimiento diligente y proactivo del crdito mediante la revisin de todos los covenants financieros y desempeo operativo (por ejemplo modelos financieros ajustes proforma drivers clave etc.) y seguimiento del cumplimiento de covenants preparado por el equipo de soporte administrativo; o Evaluacin de la operacin en temas relacionados con el producto (incluyendo evaluacin inicial de Leveraged Transaction); o Identificacin y resolucin de seales de alerta temprana evaluacin de Unlikely to Pay evaluacin de Forbearance declaracin de Default por deterioro de calidad crediticia.

Adems una persona en el rol de VP monitorizar e identificar desarrollos de mercado y gestionar proactivamente su posible impacto en la cartera mediante: o Preparacin y mantenimiento de informes solicitados por reguladores o stakeholders internos; o Preparacin de revisiones trimestrales de cartera para Credit Risk Management (CRM); o Mantenimiento de bases de datos / trackers del departamento e industria; o Mantenimiento de mtricas internas de seguimiento de cartera; o Respuesta a solicitudes internas ad hoc sobre composicin y exposicin de cartera; o Coordinacin y trabajo con equipos de soporte de cartera offshore; o Gestin de lmites de prstamo y programas de Capital Velocity.

Una persona en el rol de VP participar activamente en los distintos Virtual Client Teams mediante: o Interaccin con relationship managers y especialistas sectoriales para asegurar un dilogo activo sobre tendencias crediticias retos y oportunidades para clientes individuales; o Contribucin a la generacin de ideas para oportunidades de cross-buy o de valor aadido para la clientela.

Se espera que una persona en el rol de VP fomente una cultura de excelencia operativa mediante: o Mantenerse al da sobre polticas y procedimientos operativos de la organizacin (por ejemplo Riesgos Legal etc.) para asegurar la implementacin y seguimiento de los protocolos adecuados y facilitar en consecuencia; o Contribuir a la implementacin de iniciativas estratgicas incluyendo mejoras en el proceso de seguimiento crediticio para aumentar la eficiencia del negocio; o Identificar tendencias de productividad en la organizacin de Front Office y utilizar insights del reporting para crear y promover procesos eficientes y mejorar la productividad; o Apoyar la implementacin de proyectos de transformacin; o Mentoring a personas ms junior en su desarrollo personal y profesional; o Contribuir a la mejora del seguimiento y reporting de calidad de datos.

Formacin acadmica:

Titulacin universitaria en ADE Economa Ingeniera u otra disciplina empresarial relevante con expediente acadmico sobresaliente. CFA y/o MBA son un plus.

Experiencia / Conocimientos:

Ms de 5 aos de experiencia relevante en estructuracin de operaciones de Project Finance preferiblemente en el sector energtico y en un entorno internacional.

Competencias:
