Duties:
The successful candidate will develop and teach courses within the sport management discipline such as Intro to Sport Management Facilities & Event Management Governance in Sport Management Sport Communication Sport Media Sport Marketing & Sponsorship Sport Law & Ethics Sport Management Capstone Seminar among other sport related courses. Courses taught will be at both the undergraduate level and at the graduate level as assigned to qualified individuals. Courses may be taught during the traditional day format as well as evening/online/blended formats as assigned. The successful candidate may be asked to engage in interdisciplinary teaching outside the academic department.
The successful candidate will be expected to advise undergraduate and graduate students participate in faculty committee work and faculty development and engage in scholarship as well as service to the broader community.
Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with departmental colleagues in an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
Candidates must also be able to demonstrate experience and/or willingness to work with recruiting to network with the community and to participate in the administrative responsibilities of an academic unit including but not limited to assessment faculty development and program initiatives.
