Job Description
Responsibilities
Report to Fleet Performance Manager you are responsible to:
- Lead and supervise a team of inspectors to perform Closer Pre-ownership Arrangement (CPA) roles for assuring the highest train production quality and RAMS performance through the development and implementation of a proactive quality control mechanism.
- Liaise and work closely with a group of stakeholders from different business units and external parties to ensure the proper construction and installation of train production / modification testing and commissioning and O&M readiness of the new asset including but not limited to the proper close out of inspection & quality findings and service issues.
- Manage CPA resource allocation for assuring an effective and efficient quality control on the supplies from the Contractor.
- Carry decision making responsibility on system failure during testing and quality defects during inspection.
- Propose follow-up actions and conduct monitoring of rectification progress.
- Support design review and change impact risk analysis from CPA perspective with lesson learnt from past rolling stock failures.
- Prepare regular reports for on-site inspection findings and site work progress update.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
- A minimum of 4 years relevant experience of which 2 years should be at supervisory level
- Good communication skill good technical knowledge of railway systems and ability to demonstrate analytical skill and scientific approach to solve technical problems are advantageous
- Proficiency in speaking Mandarin and reading/writing in Simplified Chinese is essential
- Candidates with extensive experience but lower qualification will also be considered
Remarks
- Perform shift duties and work on weekend and public holidays when and where required
- Occasional business travel may be required
