Job Description
Inova Physician Serviceslocated at 8260 Willow Oaks Corporate Dr #650 Fairfax VA 22031 is looking for a dedicated Lab Technician Assistant 3 (LTA 2) to join their team! This role will be Full Time Evening Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-430pm

Job Responsibilities
- Reviews system pending reports (WCP WQS PLR PTR etc.) for reference Laboratory tests and resolves problems.
- Performs proper specimen collection by confirming patient identification collecting specimens in proper tubes utilizing venipuncture/capillary techniques and accurately labeling specimens to ensure accurate patient results.
- Maintains a clean orderly and well stocked department and notifies appropriate personnel of shortages.
- Demonstrates organization skills by prioritizing collection requests/blood product inventory needs.
- Accurately labels smears media plates centrifuge tubes (urine or otherwise) etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum Education:High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience:5 years of experience working in a clinical lab environment or as a phlebotomist; 1 year working in an Inova laboratory
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience:
- Must be proficient with venipuncture
- EKG experience preferred
