The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Supplier Quality is looking for a Supplier Quality Representative Electrical Systems Subject Matter Expert L3/L4 to join the Regional Operation Commodity Support team onsite in Everett WA.
The role will be to coordinate process improvements identify common issues develop and help implement corrective actions across the Electrical Systems commodity supply base. The role reports to the BCA Supplier Quality Regional Operations Commodity Support manager.
While this is a virtual opportunity (the selected candidate will not typically work on-site at a Boeing facility) the position will require frequent travel (upto75%) including possible extended stays at supplier locations and as such easy access to airport network.
Position Responsibilities:
BCA SQ organization Electrical Systems commodity subject matter focal
Coordinate cross functional action plans with Supply Chain and Engineering
Identify common issues across the Electrical Systems commodity
Develop organization level action plans to assess supplier processes and prevent future escapes
Train suppliers and SQRs in the application of new oversight tools and processes
Report action plan status and conclusions to SQ leadership
Support Regional SQRs to ensure suppliers Quality Management System (QMS) compliance with Boeing requirements
Engage with current and new suppliers to ensure First Time Quality
Develop and maintain processes to measure SQR effectiveness
Develop training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity
Report suppliers quality risks and opportunities to leadership
Establish requirements for the performance of supplier audits and assessments
Develop and maintain standard audit and assessment processes
Plan and conduct audits and assessments of suppliers systems processes and products
Participate with customers and suppliers to develop and implement product acceptance standards
Basic Qualifications (Required Experience/Education/Skill):
3 years of experience with any of the following: avionics systems troubleshooting wire bundle installations and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting
1 years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action
1 years of experience working with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Action/Preventative Action Root Cause Corrective Actions
1 years of experience working with external suppliers internal cross-functional teams and/or Common Core Functional Teams toward a common goal in Product Installation & Integration
Preferred Qualifications (Experience/Skills):
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization
Working knowledge of various quality tools and processes such as APQP FMEA control plans SPC FAI RCCA
Working knowledge of AS9100 AS9102 and AS9145
Lean or lean six sigma experience (leading or co-leading teams with value stream mapping and shop floor standard work events)
Demonstrated knowledge of project management best practices and processes
Experience developing supplier improvement plans and strategies providing training and coaching
