Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Mental Health Clinician provides high quality home/community-based mental health services for children and their families. He/she is responsible for supervising the interdisciplinary family service team and ensures that services are provided in adherence with the service plan. He/she will be supervised by a licensed clinical supervisor in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Board of Behavioral Science Examiners. He/she will display professional skills in diagnosis and assessment (if Masters level) case management treatment planning psychotherapy (if Masters level) and utilization review.
The Mental Health Clinician will operate in accordance with all regulations and standards of the State of California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners (if Masters level) the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health and the Department of Child and Family Services.
Job Requirements
- BA degree with at least two years providing intensive services.
- M.A. degree in social work
- Experience providing services to at-risk children and families through the Department of Mental Health and the Department of Children and Family Services.
- A minimum of one years experience in an academic internship delivering child welfare and mental health services.
- Wraparound experience/training.
