Job Description
We are seeking motivated and curious students to join our Summer 2026 IT Internship Program. This hands-on internship offers the opportunity to gain real-world experience in a dynamic technology environment while working alongside experienced IT professionals. Depending on your skills and interests you may contribute to projects in Business Analytics Cybersecurity Networking or IT Client Services.
As an IT Intern you will be exposed to a variety of technologies tools and processes that keep our business running efficiently and securely. This internship is designed to help you develop practical technical skills strengthen problem-solving abilities and gain insight into how IT supports and drives business operations.
Joining Talen Energy as an intern associate provides you with the opportunity to explore possible career opportunities along with:
Meeting senior executives
Becoming members of business resource groups
Participating in community service projects
Contributing to departmental goals
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of IT concepts such as networking data analysis or information security.
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Basic Qualifications
Current enrollment in a Bachelors program in Information Technology Computer Science Business Analytics Cybersecurity or a related field.
Must be a rising Sophomore or Junior
Enrolled full-time with a minimum of 12 semester hours
Maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Eligible to work in the U.S. in accordance with BCIS guidelines
Able to provide an official student transcript and any other required documentation
Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with others
Demonstrated leadership potential through academic extracurricular or community involvement
Internship eligibility ends upon graduation from the academic program
