As the Distributed Embodied AI Systems intern you will perform research on future prediction for latency mitigation in distributed embodied AI systems.
A few of your responsibilities will include:
- Research existing approaches to future prediction for the purposes of latency mitigation.
- Test ideas that fit our use-case of offloading perception and planning to the particular the evaluated approach needs to handle short but variable latencies error in latency prediction and packet drops.
- Report experimental results and prepare a draft to a high-quality conference.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications
- Ph.D. student in Computer Science Robotics or related fields (Must be a current student)
- Experience training and using deep neural network models.
- Experience in cloud networking or computer systems.
- Solid Python skills and proficient with libraries such as MMCV and PyTorch.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
Preferred Qualifications
- Publication record in top venues including CVPR ICCV ECCV ICRA and IROS
- Focus on future prediction for video or point clouds.
- Focus on various application-level strategies for latency mitigation.
- Extensive skill running experiments in network simulations CARLA and real setups.
- Able to work independently has strong research and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Additional Information :
The U.S. base salary range for this intern position is $39.00 - $64.00. Within the range individual pay is determined based on several factors including but not limited to type of degree work experience and job knowledge complexity of the role type of position job location etc. Your Hiring Manager can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.*
