Job Summary
If you are a Engineering student looking for an opportunity to grow Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you as a Manufacturing Intern! Based in our Shakopee Chanhassen or Eden Prairie MN location you will work within a team that provides support and development of solutions for our manufacturing production operations to drive improvements in safety quality delivery and cost position. This individual will work closely with the team and other functional groups to deploy solutions to better serve our internal and external customers.
In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Apply technical expertise in the production of products.
- Select design or recommend tools fixtures and equipment.
- Develop manufacturing processes and procedures to reduce problems and cost.
- Recommend design changes to increase quality or reduce problems and costs.
- Solve production problems and improve process capabilities.
- Participate in the presentation of test results and design reviews.
- Interact with other functional groups vendors or customers.
- Participate in the administration of technical procedures.
- Initiate and implement routine engineering change authorizations.
- Support capacity model and lean initiatives. May participate in lean six sigma improvement teams.
- May interact with teammates in numerous global locations

- Pursuing a Bachelors in Engineering or Science from anEngineering School (students of any class status will be considered)
- Zero (0) years ofrelated experience
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person at a Twin Cities location(Shakopee Chanhassen or Eden Prairie MN)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Prior internship experience

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary within the local market in which we operate and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary/pay range for this role is $25.00- 27.00 per hour annually commensurate with the skills talent capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
