Position Summary

Sony Honda Mobility of America (SHMA) is building a high-performing EV Sales & Customer Engagement team to deliver a premium end-to-end ownership journey for AFEELA. Rather than posting separate Lead/Advisor/Part-Time roles were creating one candidate pool and will align final role level (full-time part-time or lead-track) based on experience capability and performance potential.

In this customer-facing role you will drive the full sales processfrom first contact to deliverywhile creating memorable premium experiences in our studios and at events. Youll own pipeline activities lead demos and test drives guide customers through purchase and maintain engagement post-delivery. Job Responsibilities

  • Own the customer journey: engage prospects qualify needs conduct tailored product presentations and lead test drives that showcase AFEELAs design technology and performance.
  • Convert demand into sales: manage the full lifecycle (lead gen needs analysis proposal negotiation purchase coordination delivery and post-delivery follow-up).
  • Operate with polish: represent SHMA at studio appointments pop-ups roadshows and brand activations; ensure every touchpoint reflects a premium hospitality-driven standard.
  • Run your business: maintain accurate pipeline activities and outcomes in the CRM; execute timely follow-ups and hit personal sales/KPI targets.
  • Be an AFEELA expert: master vehicle features charging connected services and ownership benefits; explain complex tech with clarity and confidence.
  • Strengthen loyalty: support onboarding check-ins and service coordination; invite customers to events and owner experiences to deepen engagement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: align with Marketing Delivery Service and Product teams to ensure consistency across messaging and handoffs.
  • Elevate the operation: help maintain presentation-ready studio spaces; share customer insights to improve sales motions content and programs.
  • Growth path: high performers may be considered for lead responsibilities (shift leadership mentorship and elevated KPIs).

Required Qualifications for Position

  • 25 years of success in premium automotive luxury retail or high-end tech sales with a consistent record of meeting/exceeding targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to run a full sales cycle (qualification demo/test drive proposal close delivery follow-up).
  • Exceptional communication presentation and relationship-building skills; consultative customer-first approach.
  • Comfortable working on-site in a fast-paced startup environment with evenings/weekends/holidays as needed.
  • Frequent travel across Southern/Northern California markets (e.g. Torrance Culver City Beverly Hills San Francisco San Diego).
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and productivity tools (Microsoft Office / Google Workspace).
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications for Position

  • EV sales or D2C automotive experience; familiarity with charging connected services and digital retail flows.
  • Background in luxury/premium brands or high-touch experiential sales.
  • Multilingual skills (e.g. Japanese Spanish Mandarin Hindi).
  • Experience working events/roadshows studio operations or VIP clienteling.

Additional Details

  • Work Arrangement: Primarily on-site in Torrance CA with frequent travel to other California locations listed above.
  • Role Structure: We are considering full-time and part-time hires from the same candidate pool. Lead-track opportunities based on performance.

The anticipated pay for this position is $30$45 per hour plus bonus. This range does not include other compensation components or benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual rate offered depends on factors such as qualifications years of relevant experience unique skills education/certifications and work location.
