Compensation
Support the administration of compensation practices to enhance program efficiency and competitiveness.
Assist with the annual pay planning process including budget salary planning data management and bonus accruals.
Manage company incentive plans ensuring accurate and timely calculations and payments.
Conduct job evaluations
Provide guidance to the HR team on compensation bonus and incentive structures policies and procedures.
Contribute to salary structure development and market benchmarking.
Assist in conducting market studies to set compensation benchmarks and update salary structures.
Oversee aspects of incentive processing ensuring accuracy compliance and timely payments.
Benefits Administration (Medical Dental EAP etc..)
Assist in administering benefits and retirement schemes including health insurance life insurance accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) extended health and dental care and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Support the benefits renewal process including vendor management plan modifications and communication of updates.
Process new enrollments changes and terminations accurately and in a timely manner.
Coordinate and facilitate annual open enrollment periods including preparing communication materials conducting information sessions and processing enrollment forms.
Act as the primary liaison with benefits carriers for claims resolution eligibility issues and plan inquiries.
Contribute to the design and governance of total rewards policies including company vehicle policy allowances vacation and parental policy.
Develop employee communications to prepare for program changes educate employees and support program implementation with HRBPs Management and stakeholders.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits coverage claims and general plan information in a professional and empathetic manner.
Pension Plan Administration:
Administer the companys pension plan (e.g. Defined Contribution Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) or other registered plans).
Process employee contributions changes and withdrawals in accordance with plan rules and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with pension legislation (e.g. Pension Benefits Act in relevant provinces Income Tax Act).
Other
Assist in preparing salary reports and analyses including equity reports and ad hoc requests.
Support compliance and audits related to Canadian labor laws tax regulations and statutory requirements.
Maintain accurate employee records including attendance leaves and personal information.
Support compliance and audit activities for the Total Rewards Team.
Research and recommend enhancements to existing benefits programs and explore new offerings to meet employee needs and market trends.
Stay up-to-date on industry best practices legislative changes and emerging trends in compensation and benefits.
University degree preferably in Business with a specialization in Human Resources or Data Analytics or equivalent experience.
5 years of experience in a Human Resources role with a focus on compensation and benefits.
Strong proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel.
Familiarity with G-Mail and Google Platform is an asset.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
Knowledge of employment legislation across Canadian provinces employee relations and HR best practices.
Knowledge of HRIS (Workday) is an asset.
Bilingualism is a must (French/English)
