We are currently seeking a skilled Locum Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Emergency Medicine Family Medicine and Urgent this role you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality medical care to patients in need of immediate attention. Your expertise will be instrumental in handling a variety of cases efficiently and effectively contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team. This position offers a dynamic work environment with diverse medical cases making it an exciting opportunity for NPs passionate about emergency and family medicine.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and examinations in emergency family medicine and urgent care settings.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for patients based on their medical conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Prescribe medications and monitor patient response to treatment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
- Adhere to all relevant medical protocols guidelines and regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of practice.
- Certification in Emergency Medicine Family Medicine or Urgent Care.
- Demonstrated experience working in fast-paced medical environments.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday 8a-6p
No call requirement
Patient acuity falls between ED/urgent care and primary care
Cases: Broken bones strains bumps and bruises x-rays coughs colds etc.
EMR: Epic
