As a Network Engineer specializing in WAN and Data Center (DC) operations you will play a crucial role in the design implementation and management of our network infrastructures ensuring optimal performance and security across diverse digital services.
A brief summary of your job responsibility:
- Design implement and maintain Wide Area Network (WAN) and Data Center network solutions that support organizational objectives.
- Configure and manage routers switches firewalls and other network devices to provide a reliable service.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to ensure minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement network policies procedures and best practices.
- Participate in network capacity planning and performance tuning efforts.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations architecture diagrams and standard operating procedures.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements to network infrastructure.
- Assist in network security management including firewall configurations VPN and intrusion detection systems.
- Support disaster recovery efforts and conduct regular backups of network configurations.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in designing and managing WAN and Data Center networks.
- Strong expertise in routing and switching protocols (e.g. BGP OSPF EIGRP).
- Proficient with network devices and configuration (Cisco Juniper Arista etc.).
- Hands-on experience with network security technologies (firewalls IPSec VPN etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud networking and virtualization is a plus.
- Ability to analyze and optimize network performance metrics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Relevant industry certifications (CCNA CCNP CompTIA Network etc.) are highly desirable.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
