Club SciKidz runs science Lego and cooking after school programs throughout Howard County. We are currently looking for LEAD INSTRUCTORS for our Science classes that start the week of September 15th in Howard County. Each session (6 weeks) is a different theme/topic. Each class consists of hands-on experiments and lessons. All lessons and materials are provided.
This opportunity is very part-time and is perfect for folks who have availability in the afternoons but are looking for a little extra money without a huge commitment. You let us know which fit your schedule and how many youd like to do each week.
Currently availability:
- MONDAY: Fulton ES 3:45pm-5pm starts Sept. 15
- TUESDAY: Dayton Oaks ES 3:30pm-4:45pm starts Sept. 16
- WEDNESDAY: Hammond ES 4:00pm-5:00pm starts Sept. 24
- THURSDAY: Waterloo ES 4:00pm-5:00pm starts Sept. 25
Program Details:
- Programs run for 1 hour once a week for 6 weeks. Applicants need to be able to commit to working all weeks in the session.
- Monday and Tuesday classes start week of September 15 and Wednesday and Thursday classes start the week of September 22.
- All locations are in Howard County. Programs are held at a different school every day.
- You are paid by the class. Each class runs an hour and arrival time is 15 minutes before class starts. Pay starts at $35 for per class and is based on experience.
- All lessons and materials are provided.
Ideal Candidate:
- For LEAD INSTRUCTORS: We are looking for folks who have experience working with and teaching children. Although youll most likely have an assistant working with you you will be in charge of teaching the lessons and activities and leading the class.
- Science experience is not required. Experience working with and teaching children is more important than science experience although an interest or experience in science is a plus.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be punctual and reliable. Arriving late callouts and no-shows are not acceptable and cannot be tolerated.
- While it is possible to teach only one class a week preference is given to folks who can teach multiple classes each week.
