About the Role

Leicestershire Youth & Justice Service are proud to be able to recruit two Youth Workers to be involved in an exciting new pilot project Prevention Partnerships (Panels).These panels are part of the Governments Young Futures Programme under the Safer Streets mission aiming to prevent and reduce anti-social behaviour (ASB) knife crime and violence against women and girls (VAWG) through earlier intervention and support

We are seeking creative passionate and motivated child-centred youth workers to support children aged 10-17 years with a main area of attention for those aged 10-14. We need workers who will think out of the box be creative and can work in a fast-paced and intensive environment.

You will need to be adaptable to meet the needs of children families and the service this will include working some evenings and occasional weekends to ensure that children are supported. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of children.

The Youth & Justice Service is a dedicated service for children aged 11 who need support. We offer a wide range of non-statutory and statutory interventions to children who are experiencing difficulties and challenges where support cannot be provided by universal services alone. We have strong relationships with wider services& partnerships supporting children and their families to ensure that we can jointly deliver the best possible support and care.
