Description

Optimal on behalf of its client a multinational organization in the refrigeration sector is seeking to recruit a dynamic and results-oriented Supply Chain Supervisor to be based in Athens.

Responsible for managing and optimizing Supply Chain operations across assigned countries ensuring customer requirements on-time deliveries and budget adherence. Collaborates with key departments and stakeholders to maintain standards and drive efficiencies while leading developing and engaging SC personnel. Acts as sparring partner to the Area Supply Chain Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure on-time deliveries and prevent supply chain disruptions.
  • Support customer expectations through process standardization while maintaining flexibility.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives and margin expansion projects.
  • Achieve productivity targets including recurring and non-recurring savings.
  • Manage supplier chargeback actions and payment term expansions.
  • Own budgeting reporting and forecasting for supply chain activities.
  • Lead develop and coach the supply chain team in Greece.
  • Build strong internal networks within the supply chain and local organization.
  • Optimize and rationalize the supplier base including low-cost sourcing dual sourcing for critical components and contract management.
  • Coordinate and manage supply chain projects including benchmarking studies and sharing best practices.

Qualifications:

  • BSc degree and MSc in business Administrations is an extra asset
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in a similar role within a project-oriented installation company.
  • Experience in directly managing personnel in medium to large organizations.
  • Strong business judgment and supply chain acumen.
  • Ability to influence company P&L through optimization projects.
  • Hands-on mentality accurate result-driven and a strong team player.
  • Commercial and purchasing expertise.
  • Excellent time management skills; able to perform under pressure in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written).
  • Technically oriented with multiple years of experience in purchasing or comparable supply chain functions.
  • Leadership ethics compliance emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.
