Located conveniently off the Loop 101 and Glendale Avenue in Glendale Arizona St. Josephs Westgate Medical Center a campus of St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center is the centerpiece of Dignity Healths West Valley expansion. With a vision of Partnering with patients physicians employees and communities to improve the health of all we serve; St. Josephs Westgate Medical Center is collaborating with groups to build an organization that meets todays changing healthcare needs.
As part of the new 35-acre medical campus St. Josephs Westgate Medical Center features new approaches to healthcare via its onside collaboration with Dignity Health partners. The Westgate team has a solid patient/physician focused style to customer service; actively partnering with patients and physicians to plan for the continuum of care. It is with Dignity Healths humankindness movement that gives St. Josephs Westgate Medical Center the opportunity to open a hospital that is based upon partnerships with patients physicians employees and the community.
With future plans to expand St. Josephs Westgate Medical Center a 60000 square foot hospital includes a 12-bed full-service emergency department a 24-bed inpatient unit 2 operating rooms 2 procedural rooms dedicated space for diagnostic services an ambulance bay and helipad. The campus features some of the most innovative uses of materials to promote patient safety patient satisfaction and medical efficiency.
We are extremely proud to be a nationally recognized center for quality quaternary care medical education and research. St. Josephs includes the internationally renowned Barrow Neurological Institute Norton Thoracic Institute Cancer Center at St. Josephs Ivy Brain Tumor Center and St. Josephs Level I Trauma Center (which is verified by the American College of Surgeons). The hospital is also a respected center for high-risk obstetrics neuro-rehabilitation orthopedics and other medical services. St. Josephs is considered a sought-after destination hospital for treating the most complex cases from throughout the world. Every day approximately 20 percent of the hospitals patients have traveled from outside of Arizona and the United States to seek treatment at St. Josephs.

As the Pre-Operative Nurse you are a mainstay of a seamless safe and positive surgical are the proactive force ensuring that every patient is optimally prepared physically mentally and emotionally for their procedure. Your expertise directly contributes to:
- Elevated Patient Satisfaction & Trust:You build rapport and provide crystal-clear communication alleviating fears and empowering patients with knowledge. Youre the friendly face and guiding hand that makes patients feel truly cared for.
- Optimal Surgical Outcomes:By meticulously assessing patient health identifying potential risks and ensuring adherence to pre-op protocols you directly contribute to reduced complications faster recoveries and overall surgical excellence.
- Enhanced Operational Efficiency & Flow:Your thorough preparation minimizes delays streamlines the surgical schedule and frees up surgical teams to focus on their core tasks. You are the conductor of the pre-op symphony.

Qualifications
Minimum:
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- One year recent acute care experience preferred
Licensure:
- RN:AZ
- American Heart Association
- BLS-CPR
- ACLS within 60 days of hire
