The MS/Tele Registered Nurse provides direct and continuous medical-surgical and telemetry-level care in a community hospital setting. This role requires at least 1 year of MS/Tele experience competency in cardiac monitoring dysrhythmia interpretation rapid response involvement IV therapy respiratory support and post-operative orthopedic trauma care. Must be comfortable managing 1:6 ratios floating to similar units and working weekends as needed. Travel experience is required.
Responsibilities:Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to a diverse patient population with an expected 1:6 ratio.
Perform continuous cardiac monitoring interpret dysrhythmias and participate in rapid response/code interventions when needed.
Manage IV therapy including peripheral line care medication administration blood transfusions and phlebotomy.
Provide respiratory support including oxygen therapy nasal cannula HFNC and non-invasive airway management.
Deliver comprehensive wound care including wound vac management and surgical dressing care.
Manage orthopedic trauma patients including post-operative monitoring traction care total joint replacement recovery and peripheral nerve block catheter management.
Maintain accurate charting and documentation in Epic (required).
Float between MS/Tele and similar acute-care units per facility need.
Work scheduled weekends and adapt to unit staffing demands.
Adhere to infection prevention and isolation procedures.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele nursing experience.
Community hospital experience required.
Trauma Level II experience preferred.
Travel nursing experience required.
Ratios: 1:6.
Must float to like units.
Weekends required as needed.
No call required.
Block scheduling not guaranteed.
Charting: Epic required.
Certifications: BLS required.
Special Requirement: Experience in Ortho Trauma including post-op care wound vac blood administration.
48-hour schedules approved.
All RTO must be included at time of submission.
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ASN ADN or BSN).
Minimum 1 year MS/Tele experience in acute-care settings.
Required: Community hospital MS/Tele experience.
Required: Travel RN experience.
