Job Summary
If you are a software engineering student looking for an opportunity to grow Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Shakopee Eden Prairie or Chanhassen MN locations as a Software Engineering Co-op (Jan26-May26) you will work as an integral part of a team responsible for developing world-class Software for measurement & analytical instrumentation.
In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Apply technical expertise commensurate with formal training and job experience in the design and development of embedded firmware
- Prepare detailed plans generally spanning several weeks to months necessary to complete assignments.
- Troubleshoot and debug the Software using unit tests Emulators Simulators IDE and bench testing
- Provide process improvements & recommendations
- Work with internal cross-functional teams to understand firmware requirements
- Perform functional integration testing prior to hand-off to the test & evaluation team
- Conduct software design reviews on assigned projects

For This Role You Will Need:
- Pursuing a Bachelors in Engineering or Science from anEngineering School (students of any class status will be considered)
- Zero (0) years ofrelated experience
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person at a Twin Cities location(Shakopee Chanhassen or Eden Prairie MN)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Prior internship experience

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary within the local market in which we operate and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary/pay range for this role is $25.00 - $27.00 per hour commensurate with the skills talent capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
