Rehabilitation Physical Therapist (PT) Travel Position

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Physical Therapist (PT) to join a healthcare facility in Bethel AK on a travel contract. The PT will evaluate and treat patients requiring rehabilitation services due to injury surgery or chronic conditions helping them restore mobility improve function and enhance independence. The ideal candidate is adaptable compassionate and experienced in providing evidence-based physical therapy across diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments to identify functional limitations and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient goals.
- Provide therapeutic interventions including strengthening gait training functional mobility and balance activities.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals home exercise programs and safe mobility practices.
- Accurately document evaluations treatments and progress notes in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient-centered care.
- Maintain a safe supportive rehabilitation environment and adhere to infection control standards.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Alaska (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of PT experience in rehabilitation acute care or related settings.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- COVID vaccine and recent TB test.
- Strong communication critical thinking and organizational skills.
- Compassionate patient-centered approach with commitment to quality care.
