Requirements:

Active and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license (state-specific for GA)

RRT credential preferred; CRT may be considered based on facility requirements

BLS and ACLS certifications (required)

Minimum 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience (preferred)

Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills

Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a high-acuity environment

Responsibilities:

Assess treat and care for patients with breathing disorders or cardiopulmonary issues

Administer aerosol medications oxygen therapy chest physiotherapy and other respiratory treatments

Perform and monitor ventilator management CPAP/BiPAP and emergency airway procedures

Conduct diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gasses (ABGs) and pulmonary function tests

Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and implement patient care plans

Monitor patient responses and adjust treatment plans as necessary

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Ensure equipment is properly maintained sanitized and functioning

Respond to rapid response and code blue situations as needed
