Dignity Health Medical Foundation is an affiliate of Dignity Health one of the largest health systems in the nation - with hospitals and care centers in California Arizona and Nevada. Job Summary and Responsibilities
Performs complete pacemaker ICD and ILR operating parameter settings battery life leadimpedance sensitivity and threshold/voltage/pulse wave andrhythm abnormalities. Edits and forwards final test results to theattending Physician for analysis and -programsand troubleshoots devices as out duties incompliance with applicable laws and DHMF compliancestandards which include inquiring about any uncertaintiesregarding legal requirements and promptly reporting suspectedimproprieties to DHMFs patient privacy inaccordance with HIPAA privacy/security regulations includinginquiring about any uncertainties and promptly reportingsuspected improprieties to the Clinic and/or DHMF Leadership.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years relevant experience and/or applicable education
- Proficient in electrocardiogram interpretation including complex arrhythmias.
- Ability to recognize and appropriately treat cardiac device problems under the supervision of the cardiologist.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot all cardiac device programmers
Preferred Qualifications:
EKG Certificate preferred.
Certification or accredited training courses for Pacemaker setting changes strongly preferred.
3 or more years experience in Cardiology department preferred.
Experience with cardiac devices strongly preferred.
Knowledge of implantable cardiac devices and cardiac arrhythmias preferred.
