Job Summary

Job Title: Head Boys Track Coach (Middle School)
Location:South Harrison R-2Bethany MO
Reports To: Athletic Director & Building Administration

Position Overview:
School Name is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Head Boys Track Coach to lead and develop the middle school girls track program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of track and field events effective coaching strategies and a commitment to fostering growth sportsmanship and teamwork in student-athletes.

Responsibilities:

Plan organize and conduct daily practices and meets for all track and field events.
Teach fundamental and advanced techniques in running jumping and throwing.
Create a positive and structured environment that emphasizes skill development effort and sportsmanship.
Manage meet preparation event assignments and lineups.
Collaborate with assistant coaches (if applicable) and communicate effectively with parents staff and administration.
Ensure student-athletes meet academic and eligibility requirements.
Promote a safe and supportive environment for all athletes.
Oversee program logistics such as equipment uniforms and meet travel.

Qualifications:

Previous coaching and/or competitive track experience (middle school high school or higher preferred).
Strong understanding of track and field fundamentals training methods and meet management.
Ability to communicate and motivate middle school athletes effectively.
Commitment to building confidence teamwork and character in student-athletes.
Must meet all district and state coaching certification requirements.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with middle school athletes.
Knowledge of strength conditioning and speed development programs.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Season/Hours:

This is a seasonal stipend position requiring attendance at practices meets and team events as well as some off-season preparation.
