Job Description

Ashley Hall is seeking a dedicated energetic and passionate individual to lead our Varsity Soccer program. The Head Coach will create a competitive supportive and empowering soccer experience that reflects the schools mission of developing confident capable young women through athletics. The ideal candidate will bring a strong knowledge of soccer a commitment to player development and the ability to inspire student-athletes both on and off the field.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes

The ideal candidate should possess extensive soccer coaching experience demonstrate strong leadership skills and have a proven record in building and sustaining successful athletic programs.

Major Responsibilities

The most competitive candidates will offer the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Leadership & Coaching: Provide mentorship guidance and leadership to student-athletes fostering growth confidence and teamwork. Establish a culture of excellence grounded in sportsmanship discipline and respect. Serve as a positive role model for all players emphasizing integrity accountability and effort.

  • Program Development: Design and implement a comprehensive soccer program focused on skill development tactical awareness and team unity. Build and sustain a long-term vision for program growth including player recruitment middle school integration and community engagement. Promote the values of Ashley Hall athletics balancing performance with personal development.

  • Practice & Game Preparation: Plan and execute purposeful high-energy practices that enhance individual technique and team performance. Develop strategic game plans using opponent analysis film review and data-driven preparation. Ensure practices are structured to maintain safety and inclusivity for all players.

  • Game Management: Lead the team during competitions with composure tactical insight and effective communication. Model professionalism and sportsmanship in all interactions with players officials and opponents.

  • Athlete Development: Support the holistic growth of student-athletes academically athletically and personally. Encourage players to set and achieve goals while emphasizing leadership character and personal accountability.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with assistant coaches the Athletic Department and school leadership to ensure the soccer program aligns with Ashley Halls mission. Partner with athletic trainers and strength staff to promote athlete health safety and conditioning.

  • Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents alumnae and the school community to promote the soccer program. Encourage school spirit and participation in athletic events both on campus and beyond.

  • Administrative Responsibilities: Manage team logistics including scheduling practices games and travel. Oversee equipment uniforms and facilities to ensure safety and organization. Adhere to school and league policies regarding eligibility conduct and competition. Distribute and collect uniforms and any gear lent to athletes..

Key Requirements

  • Experience: 3-5 years coaching soccer at the high school club or collegiate level with proven program or player development success.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of soccer fundamentals tactical systems skill progression and fitness training.

  • Leadership & Passion: Energetic positive and committed to mentoring athletes and fostering a love of the game.

  • Commitment: Availability for practices games and off-season training sessions as required..

  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of the Athletics Department team.

  • Certifications: U.S. Soccer Grassroots or higher preferred; current CPR/First Aid required.

Additional Requirements

  • Current or ability to attain CPR certification upon hire.

  • Completion of all required Ashley Hall and SCISA paperwork.

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background check reference checks and medical requirements.

Time Commitment:

  • Start Date 1/16/2026

  • In Season - 5-6 days of practice and Games

  • Off Season responsibilities - Sign up lists Strength and Conditioning promotion and monitoring
