TeHerenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Workplace Technology Trainer to join the Te Tai Matihiko - Digital Solutions team on a permanent full-time basis.

The role of the Workplace Technology Trainer is toplan deliver and support training programmesthat promote and develop staff trust confidence and capability in the use of digital technologies that support administration and workplace productivity at the University.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver workshops training and 3rd level support to staff in their use of workplace technology tools such as Office 365 computers mobiles and collaborative technologies.
  • Provide training and support in the adoption of AI technologies particularly CoPilot.
  • Champion responsible AI use by embedding the principles within the Generative AI Policy in training and support initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain guidance materials that support and enable the use of technology and complement scheduled training.

We need a person who LOVES helping people get the most from their technology and who has a strong customer service drive so that we can deliver a great training service to the University.

Key requirements:

  • Proven ability to design and deliver engaging technology training programmes tailored to diverse learning styles and organisational contexts.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting the adoption of emerging technologies including AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot within a workplace or educational setting.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
