The Commercial Services & Strategic Property team helps Inland Revenue (IR) get the best value from its commercial and supplier relationships. We focus on integrity and transparency in how we buy products services and solutions.

Our team has five main areas:

ICT Commercial
Corporate Commercial
Buying Operations
Strategic Property and Programme Delivery; and
Commercial Advisory

ICT Commercial

The ICT Commercial team:

Leads ICT sourcing processes and contract management across Inland Revenue ensuring alignment with Inland Revenues business strategies.
Manages large complex and high-value sourcing activities.
Leads and manages IRs Supplier Relationship Management Framework.
Ensures effective governance and contract management plans for commercial portfolios.

About you Mōu

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of suppliers and spend.
Lead and deliver all sourcing commercial activities and supplier relationship management working closely with the business to support operational and strategic objectives.
Provide analysis and expert procurement advice especially for negotiating major commercial contracts.
Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Develop and drive strategies to achieve savings targets and regularly report on initiatives and savings.

Key Skills

Experience managing end-to-end ICT sourcing and contracting activities including supplier and contract management.
Project management experience especially with large and challenging supplier relationships.
Advanced negotiation influencing and conflict resolution skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple commitments and deliver results.
Knowledge of public sector procurement including Government Procurement Rules.
A related tertiary qualification is desirable but not essential.
