Were a family-run business deeply rooted in values that span generations. As we expand were looking for an Almond Irrigation Technician to join us on this exciting journey and play a pivotal role in the future of Rombola Family Farms team based in Nericon NSW.

This is a Full-Time role. The role of the Almond Irrigation Technician is to ensure that Rombola Family Farms irrigation system is operated efficiently and in accordance with the company schedule. The position requires to maintain and repair irrigation systems including replacing valves fan belts switches and contacts.

Key operational accountabilities include:

  • Turns irrigation systems on and off as designated.
  • Repairs and replaces hoses pipes and numerous types of sprinkler heads and fixtures.
  • Operates timers clocks and controls for sprinklers.
  • Replaces or repairs irrigation valves.
  • Installs or repairs irrigation lines.
  • May assist in various maintenance activities as required.
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • At least three years related experience and may have or be undertaking AQF Certificate I or compulsory secondary education.
  • Ability to install operate troubleshoot and repair manual and/or computerized irrigation systems.
  • Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to perform irrigation tasks such as operate timers clocks and controls for sprinklers.
  • Knowledge of manual and/or computerized irrigation systems.
  • Ability to read understand follow and enforce safety procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Initiative and integrity.
  • Team player.
  • Flexibility in hours worked to achieve operational targets.
  • A current drivers licence.
